This is an impresive story..
I’m so glad my mom is now back home..
Even she never got hurt from her employer but I’m very happy that she is with us again..
I was sad when I read this.. so touching… these girls and the women who never know about electronic tools and they must work with that. gggggooooodddd….
and long hours they must spend to work with the «boss» family..
They think working out side of the country will bring them alot of money..
but they do not know what they get them self in to..
hope mereka kuat…

We are a bizarre species indeed. This photo essay shows dedication on the part of the photographer Gratiane. The images are also an expression of her talent.
Looking forward to seeing more of her work. But hopefully I will not get depressed in seeing more images of our some times heart less world.

Thu, 07 Jun 2012 03:51:07 +0000http://www.pd-jkt.com/?p=3648#comment-1593Dear Thomas. Thank you for the link about the 1000+ meters. I just have a comment that I would like to share with you. Mountains can grow old and tall. These add beauty to Countries like Switzerland and Indonesia. But, after reading the rules and regulations of this photo contest, I was sorry to read that it was open to photographers under the age of 40 years old. It seems that photographers can not grow old and (short!). Many contests are open to the young. One day these young will grow old and they will be put on the « side track». I wonder if HCB, if he were still among us, would be permitted to participate. But this does not stop me from admiring mountains such as Semeru, Gunung Api, Bromo, Batur, Agung and so many others in Indonesia. Maybe I will even take photographs of them and make prints to show to my «old» photographer friends.
p.s. To your sentence: Anyone send photographs of Indonesian Mountains, you should add: Under the age of 40.

I visited your blog and had a look to your images – pretty impressive your career since you started with the Zenith!
All the best,

It was built like a tank. Replaced with a Miranda from Japan-nowhere near as well made so that was quickly traded towards a Nikkormat!
I had the Zenith whilst at school and sold some of the images from it to school friends, then got the front page of my local paper with a news image shot with it-the beginning of my career
