Photojournalist looks for a guide in Jakarta
Mitja Rietbrock, a journalist from Switzerland is trying to find a guide to accompany him while photographing for a project in Jakarta. Below is the information we received from him.
If you believe you’re the right person to assist Mitja, please email him with some information about you and why you are able to guide him.
“Hi there!
My name is Mitja and I am a journalist for the Swiss national TV. I am also a photographer who founded the children NGO: It’s Our World.
By taking pictures of children in need and telling their stories, I want to give a voice to disadvantaged children. At the same time I’m raising money for various children NGOs around the globe.
I will be in Jakarta during the week from 22nd to 28th of March and I’m intending to support the “Rednose Circus” taking pictures of children and their environment.
Here’s my question: I am planning to go to slum areas and areas near railway tracks in Jakarta to meet such children in need. I’m looking for someone who is able to help me (one day, locating and taking me to places, helping to get in touch with people, translating … ? For this a small budget is available).
In case you’re interested, please get in touch with me quickly : mitja_tv(at)yahoo.com
At It’s Our World you will find all information about me and the project, the pictures and stories, exhibitions, sponsored projects as well as press releases and an 8 minutes ‘making of of’ web-video.
Looking forward to meet you,
Mitja ”
