Sammy Davis, Jr. was an avid photographer using his camera to gain access to places where black people would not be allowed to enter, “Nobody interrupts a man taking a picture to ask… ‘What’s that nigger doin’ here?’ “. He made a book of photographs showing his pictures of such famous people like Robert Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr. and his close friends Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, James Dean, Nat “King” Cole and Marilyn Monroe.
